How to play a Favorite level from the forums

Playing a Favorite from the forums is really easy. It's basically as simple as click and play. For those who want more detailed instructions, read on.
  1. To play a Favorite, you'll first need the registered version of Pathstorm installed. Unfortunately, the Pathstorm demo does not allow playing of Favorites.
  2. Make sure Pathstorm isn't already running.
  3. Click on the attached file (i.e. MerryGoRound.pathstorm) in the forum.
  4. You should be prompted to open or save the file. Select Open.
  5. Pathstorm will automatically launch. When it reaches the main menu, you'll receive a message stating that the level has been copied to your Favorites. Click OK.
  6. From the main menu, click on the Favorites button in the lower left.
  7. If it's a Cavebug Favorite, click on the Cavebug tab. If it's a User Favorite, click on the Shared tab.
  8. Find the new level, select it and click Start New Level.
  9. Enjoy!

Thanks for the instructions. Is there any way to get more than one new level at a time (w/out opening and closing the game each time?)

The answer is "it depends." In the version that Big Fish Games has, you must exit the game before "installing" each level. In Pathstorm 1.2 Build 1757, we added the ability to install multiple levels without exiting the game.

We are in the process of making a few more minor changes and will then contact Big Fish Games to see about updating their version. Ultimately, the decision to update a game they carry or to stay with the version they have is theirs.

* Note: You can find the version number in the bottom right corner of the main menu, a little above the Quit button.
